KENNETH MUHANGI

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Kenneth is a leading technology and intellectual property lawyer with expertise in data protection, digital trade, and emerging technologies. He has advised governments, global institutions, and private sector actors, and played a key role in drafting Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act. Kenneth is also a recognized legal innovator and serves on several national and regional policy committees.

ASMAHANEY SAAD

DIRECTOR

Asmahaney is a seasoned corporate and energy law expert with over 16 years of experience advising on oil and gas, infrastructure, project finance, and regulatory compliance across local and international sectors. She is the Managing Partner and Head of Corporate, Commercial, and Projects at her firm, and also serves on the boards of UBA Uganda and Next Media. Asmahaney holds multiple advanced degrees and certifications, and is a committed leader, mediator, and Rotarian with a passion for national development.

JUSTUS KARUHANGA

DIRECTOR

Justus is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with over two decades of legal experience in public service and private practice. A former Private Secretary Legal to the President and Principal State Attorney, he brings deep expertise in public-private partnerships, corporate law, investment advisory, and electoral law. He has led legal teams in high-profile election matters and served on national commissions. Outside the courtroom, Justus is a passionate rancher and reader of political science and development economics.

EDGAR TABARO

DIRECTOR

Edgar is a Senior Partner at KTA and Regional Practice Head for Business Market Entry in Burundi, DRC, Tanzania, and Kenya. With over 20 years of experience, he specializes in intellectual property, corporate law, trade, and litigation, and has led groundbreaking legal reforms and cases across Africa. A former law school dean and academic, Edgar has published extensively and served on key national boards, including UCC and UBC. He also advises international bodies such as the EU on IP and trade matters in Africa.

EDWIN TABARO

DIRECTOR

Edwin is an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda with regional practice rights across East Africa, specializing in intellectual property, banking, and cross-border project finance. He has led precedent-setting IP litigation in Uganda and advises on trademark and patent matters across the EAC. Edwin also advises financial institutions on complex lending and debt restructuring, and has supported major investment projects, including in the agro-processing sector. Outside of legal practice, he is active in tea farming, wildlife conservation, and serves on several professional and recreational boards, including the Entebbe Golf Club and East Africa Law Society.
